A Testament to Our Generation

Hate it all you want, but Twitter established itself as legitimate since last Friday when news started coming out of Iran. I am watching the boards right now on Twitter, and it's amazing. People are posting info for anonymous proxies so that Iranians can get videos and images out of the country and bypass the media lock down. Here is one of the posts (love the password):

"Anonymous FTP to share #iranelection photos and videos. ftp.iansbrain.com username: u41011831-nov5 password: freedom "

20 years ago, we wouldn't have a clue what was going on in that country, and people wouldn't care. Out of sight, out of mind. But, today, in the age of technology where information does not sleep and travels faster than the networks can broadcast it, people can't help but see it. And maybe, just maybe, man is a compassionate creature, that can't help but care about the plight of their fellow humans in search for freedom. It's a nice thought.
